Katarzyna WEGRZYN-WOLSKA

BIO

Katarzyna Węgrzyn-Wolska is the Director of Efrei Research Lab at EFREI and an associated professor in CRI laboratory at MinesParisTech and in ACMES/SAMOVAR laboratory at Télécom ParisSud. She is also a member of Doctoral School of Institut Polytechnique de Paris in PHD Track Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

She received her Master degree in Electronic Engineering at the Silesian Technical University of Gliwice, Poland (1987), then in 1996 she earned a second Master degree in Computer Science delivered by University of Val d’Essonne, l’ENSIIE and Télécom SudParis (France). She received her PhD (2001) in the field of automation, real-time and computer science at MinesParisTech in France.

In 2012 she received the French Authorization to Direct Research (H.D.R – Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) from the University of Val d’Essonne.

Węgrzyn-Wolska was the head of the Computer Science and Network Department, then head of a SITR team for many years, and finally Scientific Director of ESIGETEL.

Węgrzyn-Wolska has also been involved as a Chair and as a member of Programme Committees in many international conferences (WI, SNAA, BESC, AWIC, UCAN, CISIM, AH3D, MIT, CASoN, INCoS, ENIC, NWESP, NetSci, EPIA, AINA, FutureTech, JetSan, EHEALTH, IBICA), as well an expert for the European Commission in the field of Information Society Technologies (IST).
