Master Program in bio-informatics

The Bioinformatics major is at the crossroads of computer science, statistics (Big Data), biology and medicine. It is accessible after the integrated Bio and digital preparation or a first double course in biology and computer science.

Program Description

Bioinformatics has developed significantly in recent years to meet the need to process data from new biotechnologies (multiomics data). With the diversity of these technologies and the massification of the data to be processed, it has become a discipline in its own right, at the crossroads of computer science, statistics (Big Data), biology and medicine.

On the industrial level, the sector will continue to grow strongly to meet advances in health (personalized medicine at the diagnostic and therapeutic level) and will require the arrival of new experts who understand the data, tools and current challenges of bioinformatics and who are able to develop new software adapted to technological advances in biomedicine and informatics.

Large companies such as Google, Illumina, IQVIA or IBM Watson are already positioning themselves in this sector because it is an important focus.

Objectives:

  • Design data visualizations to present analysis results clearly and concisely
  • Understand the different stages of bioinformatics projects and assess their relevance and contribution in terms of value
  • Using machine learning techniques to analyze medical data

  • Process and analyze biotechnology data
  • Designing innovative solutions in the bioinformatics and healthcare sectors
  • Designing new drugs through drug design.
