Master Program in Robotic Systems and Drones

The Robotic Systems and Drones major trains engineers capable of studying and designing autonomous systems with embedded intelligence: automata that can move on the ground and provide various forms of assistance to humans, as well as the design of flying objects.

Program description

Today, robots and drones are part of our daily lives, with applications in fields such as e-health, service robotics, security, civil and military site surveillance, defense, transport, commerce and more.

True designers, engineers in the Robotic Systems and UAVs major also think about the ethics and use of these future technologies. The multi-disciplinary training combines electronics, robotics, signal processing and artificial intelligence.

The Master Program in “Robotic Systems and Drones” prepares engineers capable of designing humanoid robots and drones, in particular, autonomous systems with their intelligence embedded onboard.

Learning objectives

By the end of this program, the new Robotic Systems and Drones engineer will have the following skills: 

  • Analyze and process images, signals, in order to perform a diagnostic test (location) and control the system (navigation);
  • Model, estimate and control complex dynamic systems and integrate real-time requirements embedded into their processing algorithms;
  • Implement navigation and positioning strategies;
  • Integrate embedded real-time requirements into processing algorithms;
  • Integrate control systems on connected objects (land based or airborne);
  • Implement learning and reasoning methods to solve complex problems.
