Over 1000 companies offer more than 7,500 internships every year to Efrei engineering students.
Two hundred and eighty of these companies are part of our network of active business partners and 90 are members of the Universum TOP 100 (most preferred companies of recent graduates in France).
At Efrei, internships are key moments in which students and companies can build strong links. For every year in the program, there is an internship, which has different goals and objectives, giving students the opportunity to progressively learn the different facets of the professional world, engineering and the digital technology sector.
Hands-on business experience is crucial in the training of the future engineer and is an undeniable asset for recruiters and future employers. During their 5 years of study, student engineers complete between 13 and 17 months of on-the-job training in a business professional environment.
L1 | First-year undergraduate students complete a 1-month introductory internship where they make their first contact with the business world, becoming familiar with its ins and outs and the different jobs available. |
L2 | Second-year undergraduate students complete a 1-month business internship where they are immersed in the world of sales and learn how to develop and maintain client relationships. |
L3 | Third year students have the option to complete a 1-month to 2-month industry enterprise internship or to participate in a Humanitarian Project. |
M1 | First-year graduate students complete a 5-month technical internship from November to March. The content of this internship is largely technical and related to the domain of ICT (software development, hotline support, networks, etc.). |
M2 | Second-year graduate students complete a 6-month engineering internship from April to September. The content of this second internship is either technically orientated, focusing on the domain of ICT in general or is business orientated, focusing on management issues such as marketing, strategy, counseling, etc. |
A significant number of final-year internships often result in full-time job offers from the companies, allowing recruiting companies the chance to train and assess the suitability of junior engineers for more advanced professional roles.
International students from partner universities regularly conduct research at Efrei working alongside professors in multicultural student teams on various ongoing projects. Our faculty welcomes graduate and undergraduate candidates for a research internship of one to two semesters.
More than 400 international students from around the world are enrolled in degree-seeking programs; undertake research internships; and participate in exchange semester or a summer school program at Efrei.
We have developed a network of close to 100 partner universities allowing us to offer all our students (including international students) a significant number of exchange programs, internships and double degree options in 40 countries.
